Bagent is slated to start Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Texans, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Coach Matt Eberflus announced Tuesday that the Bears won't play key starters in the team's exhibition opener, which means that No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams won't see snaps Thursday. As a result, Bagent will get the starting nod versus Houston, with fellow QBs Brett Rypien and Austin Reed also available to see action.
