Leads Buffalo with six grabs Sunday

Shakir caught all six of his targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 31-7 wild-card round win over the Broncos.

While the third-year wideout led the Bills in receptions, Curtis Samuel wound up leading the team in receiving yards thanks to a 55-yard catch-and-run for a TD in the fourth quarter. Shakir didn't need to contribute much in a game the Bills dominated, but he was Josh Allen's top target during the regular season with a 76-821-4 line on 100 targets over 15 appearances. With a much tougher Baltimore squad headed to Buffalo for the divisional round, Shakir might need to step up and make a bigger impact.

Held out of Week 18 action

Shakir did not play during Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Patriots.

Shakir, alongside a handful of key starters including quarterback Josh Allen, did not play Week 18 with the No. 2 seed in the AFC already having been locked up by the Bills. He'll resume handling his usual starting role at wideout during Sunday's wild-card round matchup at home against the Broncos. Shakir concludes the regular season having tallied career-high marks across the board, despite suiting up for just 15 games. He compiled 76 catches for 821 yards and four scores on 100 targets in that span.

Minor role in Week 17 win

Shakir caught three of six targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 40-14 win over the Jets.

Shakir caught nearly every pass directed his way in the first half of the season, but that hasn't been the case once the weather started to get colder. Only three of the 45 passes thrown Shakir's way through Week 9 fell incomplete, but he has been targeted on at least three incomplete passes in six of seven subsequent games. If Shakir and Buffalo's other starters are rested against the Patriots in Week 18, he'll finish the regular season with 76 catches for 821 yards and four touchdowns on 100 targets, all career highs.

Quiet against New England

Shakir recorded two receptions on six targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Patriots.

Shakir finished second on the team with six targets, though the Bills' passing game was slowed due to uncharacteristically slugging showing from Josh Allen. That left Shakir with an inefficient stat line, with his longest catch of the day going for just 12 yards. Despite earning consistent volume, he has now been held under 40 receiving yards in three of his last four games.

Another TD in Week 15 win

Shakir secured six of seven targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 48-42 win over the Lions on Sunday.

Shakir paced the Bills in receptions and tied for the team lead in targets while scoring a touchdown for the second straight game on a three-yard grab late in the third quarter. Shakir has at least five catches in six of the last seven games, affording him a solid PPR floor heading into a Week 16 home matchup against the Patriots.

Scores long touchdown

Shakir recorded five receptions on eight targets for 106 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-42 loss to the Rams.

Shakir was a non-factor in the first half, recording only 21 yards on two targets. He came alive as the offenses matched blows in the final two quarters, however, highlighted by a 51-yard touchdown grab, which came primarily after the catch as he bounced off defenders. On Buffalo's next possession, Shakir caught a 34-yard pass from Josh Allen that came just one yard shy of another trip to the end zone. This was Shakir's second 100-yard performance of the season and his first touchdown since Week 3.

Team-high seven targets in win

Shakir caught four of seven targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 35-10 win over the 49ers.

Seven of Josh Allen's 17 passes were directed to Shakir, as the wideout led the Bills in catches and targets while finishing second behind Dawson Knox (56) in receiving yards. This was only the second time in his last 10 games that Shakir failed to reach 50 receiving yards, and his shortfall here can be attributed to playing in snowy conditions. Weather shouldn't be an issue for Buffalo's passing game in sunny Los Angeles against the Rams in Week 14.

Leading WR Sunday

Shakir had eight receptions on 12 targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 30-21 victory over the Chiefs.

Shakir finished as the Bills' leading receiver in a decisive victory over another conference contender. The 24-year-old has blossomed into a consistent fantasy asset in his third year. Through 10 games this season, Shakir is just 12 yards shy of matching his entire production during the 2023 regular season in seven fewer games. The receiver's lack of touchdowns (two) has kept him from becoming a certified fantasy breakout as the Bills enter a bye week.

Busiest pass catcher in win

Shakir brought in six of nine targets for 58 yards in the Bills' 30-20 win over the Colts on Sunday.

Shakir recorded team-high reception and target numbers while checking in second in receiving yards. Shakir primarily works in a short-area role but did log a 30-yard catch Sunday, and he now has at least six receptions in four consecutive contests. Shakir will look to record his first touchdown catch since Week 3 in a Week 11 home showdown against the Chiefs.
