Splits reps with Rudolph

Levis completed nine of 17 passes for 175 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Texans. He added four rushes for eight yards while losing a fumble.

Levis appeared in a game for the first time since Week 15 and led seven of the team's 10 offensive possessions. His statistical output was relatively strong, though the Texans played without several of their key defensive players and 144 of his 175 yards came in the fourth quarter with the Titans down multiple scores. Levis had a rocky second season as a pro, totaling 13 touchdowns while turning the ball over 17 times. With Tennessee in line to pick first overall, it would come as a significant surprise if he is atop the depth chart entering training camp in 2025.

In line to start Sunday

Head coach Brian Callahan relayed Friday that Levis will start Sunday's season finale against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Per Wyatt, Callahan said that fellow QB Mason Rudolph will also play in Sunday's contest. Of the two, however, Levis profiles as the higher-percentage Week 18 fantasy dart, with Turron Davenport of ESPN.com and John Glennon of NashvillePost.com suggesting that if Levis plays well Sunday, the snap share could tilt in his favor.

Set to split reps at QB in Week 18

Titans head coach Brian Callahan said Monday that Levis and Mason Rudolph will both play Sunday against Houston, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

Levis was moved to a backup role in favor of Rudolph over the Titans' past two games, but the team has gone 0-2 since the change. Rudolph has somewhat struggled with a 3:4 TD:INT in the pair of contests, so he hasn't done enough to establish a stranglehold on the starting QB role. With both Levis and Rudolph likely to get snaps in Week 18, neither profiles as an appealing fantasy play.

Suiting up as backup

Despite losing his starting job, Levis is active for Sunday's game after logging a limited practice session Friday. He'll be set to be the backup to Mason Rudolph.

Expected to be active as backup

Levis (shoulder), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, is expected to be active and serve as the backup to starter Mason Rudolph, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Levis was added to the injury report Friday, getting in a limited session. Coach Brian Callahan already had announced Mason Rudolph as the team's starting quarterback for Week 16 against the Colts.

Questionable for Week 16

Levis (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts.

Levis was added to the injury report Friday, getting in a limited session. Coach Brian Callahan had already announced Mason Rudolph as the team's starting quarterback for Week 16 against the Colts. Trevor Siemian is on the practice squad as a candidate to be elevated should Levis be unable to serve as the team's QB2.

Benched in favor of Rudolph

Mason Rudolph will replace Levis as the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Colts, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.

It sounds like the change is expected to hold for the final three games of the season, albeit with coach Brian Callahan reserving the right to change his mind on a week-to-week basis. Callahan also suggested that he still believes in Levis long term and doesn't think he's done as an NFL starting quarterback, per Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com. In any case, Levis will be the team's No. 2 QB this Sunday against Indianapolis.

Expected to lose starting gig

Levis is expected to move into a backup role for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, with Mason Rudolph likely in line to replace him as the Titans' starting quarterback, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

According to Fowler's report, the Titans will make a change at quarterback for Week 16, so unless the team elects to award the start to practice-squad member Trevor Siemian, Rudolph represents the logical candidate to replace Levis. The second-year signal-caller will head to the bench after he endured another tough outing in this past Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals, when he completed eight of 12 pass attempts for 89 yards and three interceptions while also losing a fumble before being pulled midway through the third quarter in favor of Rudolph. Through 11 starts this season, Levis has completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 6.3 yards per attempt and 12 touchdowns, but turnovers have been a major issue. He's lost five fumbles and has thrown 12 interceptions, including an NFL-high four pick-sixes. Levis' lack of development will likely prompt the Titans to pursue an upgrade at quarterback through the draft or free agency this offseason.

Quarterback position under review

Titans head coach Brian Callahan said the team will spend the next two days evaluating whether Levis, who was benched in Week 15, or Mason Rudolph will start Sunday's road matchup against the Colts, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Levis was benched during Tennessee's 37-27 loss to the Bengals in Week 15 after accounting for four turnovers (three interceptions and one lost fumble). He otherwise completed eight of 12 passes for 89 yards and zero touchdown. Rudolph looked more competent, if unremarkable, in relief of Levis, completing 21 of 26 passes for 209 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, while also rushing twice for 14 yards. In order to properly divvy up first-team reps, the Titans may make an official decision at the quarterback position for Week 16 prior to Wednesday's practice.
