Jacoby Brissett Remains starting QB

Speaking to the media Friday, coach Jerod Mayo said Brissett will remain New England's starting quarterback, Mark Daniels of MassLive.com reports.
After going 12 of 18 passing for 98 scoreless yards and failing to lead a touchdown drive, Brissett was pulled from Thursday night's eventual loss to the Jets late in the fourth quarter with the team down 24-3. First-round rookie Drake Maye played the final 4:24 of the game and went four of eight for 22 yards. After Brissett absorbed five sacks, Maye took another two. Neither quarterback stands much of a chance behind New England's bottom-barrel offensive line that was missing a pair of starters versus New York. Brissett sounds like he'll be under center for Week 4 against San Francisco.
