Joe Mixon Injury not long-term issue

Mixon's ankle injury is not considered to be a long-term issue, per league sources, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Mixon was injured during Sunday's win, returned to the game, but he played just seven snaps upon his return. The running back underwent an MRI on Monday, and head coach DeMeco Ryans was noncommittal on Mixon's status for Week 3 in Minnesota. The Texans feel the tackle that injured Mixon was illegal and are submitting video of the play to the NFL for review. If Mixon's unavailable for Week 3, Cam Akers and/or Dameon Pierce (hamstring) would likely see extra workloads.
