Love and the Packers have agreed to terms on a four-year extension worth $220 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The deal will make Love the highest paid quarterback in NFL history despite just one full season as Green Bay's starting quarterback. It also includes a record $75 million signing bonus, plus $155 million in new full guarantees, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. The team's star signal caller has been at training camp but sitting out of practice until a deal was finalized. He will now presumably return to the field and continue building a rapport with his young, and deep wide receiver unit.
