Sam Darnold Not expected to miss time

The Vikings announced Monday that Darnold (knee) sustained a bone bruise during Sunday's 34-7 win over the Texans and is not expected to miss any time due to the injury, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Darnold had to undergo further tests Monday after he missed one play in the third quarter of Sunday's win over Houston, and in a piece of good news for the Minnesota, it's been revealed that the veteran quarterback didn't sustain any structural damage. It's also encouraging for the Vikings' offense that the team isn't expressing real concern about Darnold's health heading into a key road divisional matchup against the Packers. Across three games this season Darnold has thrown for a league-leading eight touchdowns with just two interceptions, despite Jordan Addison (ankle) missing back-to-back games and star tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) still residing on the reserve/PUP list.
