LaPorta (hamstring) returned to practice Sunday, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports.
The tight end was one of many Lions to resume practicing Sunday -- his first appearance since the first week of August. LaPorta is on track to be ready for a Week 1 game against the Rams on Sept. 8, but it will still be worth monitoring the situation to make sure he gets back to full practice participation before then.
