Quietly posts career year

RotoWire Logo Published: 2025-01-05

Wilson caught four of five targets for 51 yards and rushed once for no gain in Sunday's 32-20 win over the Dolphins. He finishes the 2024 season with 101 catches for 1,104 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 154 targets.

Wilson didn't account for any of Aaron Rodgers' four touchdown passes, but the third of their four connections accounted for Wilson's 100th catch of the season. In addition to setting a new career high in receptions, Wilson exceeded his previous career high by one receiving yard. Wilson's seven receiving scores matched his combined total from 2022 and 2023, so Wilson made incremental improvements despite the Jets' inconsistency on offense. The 2022 first-round draft pick remains under contract with the Jets for 2025.

Catches late TD from Taylor

RotoWire Logo Published: 2024-12-29

Wilson caught seven of eight targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Bills.

Wilson accounted for 42 of Aaron Rodgers' 66 first-half passing yards as the Jets continued to struggle on offense. The wideout lost a fumble in the third quarter but rebounded in the fourth, helping the Jets avoid a shutout loss by catching a nine-yard touchdown pass from Tyrod Taylor with 6:59 remaining. Having already surpassed 1,000 yards for the third time in as many seasons, Wilson will have a chance to set a new career high in receiving yards against the Dolphins, as he needs 50 to match his rookie total of 1,103.

Well behind Adams again

RotoWire Logo Published: 2024-12-22

Wilson caught six of seven targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams.

Wilson was limited to just one catch for 15 yards in the first half while Davante Adams led the team with five catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. The script flipped to a degree after halftime, as Wilson out-gained Adams, 39-16. Wilson has been the No. 2 option in the passing game rather than the co-No. 1 in recent weeks, so he'll be a less trustworthy fantasy option than Adams in Week 17 against the Bills.

Plays second fiddle after early TD

RotoWire Logo Published: 2024-12-15

Wilson caught three of six targets for 56 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-25 win over the Jaguars.

Wilson had a 19-yard catch followed by a 22-yard touchdown reception on consecutive plays on the Jets' first drive. His next catch didn't come until less than 10 minutes remained in the fourth quarter, but Wilson set up a third-quarter field goal in between by drawing a 30-yard pass interference penalty. Wilson took a back seat to Davante Adams, who had nine catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns, all in the second half. With Aaron Rodgers enjoying a resurgence down the stretch, at least statistically, Wilson and Adams have coexisted effectively, so both wide receivers will be high-end fantasy options in Week 16 against the Rams.

Posts 114 yards in OT loss

RotoWire Logo Published: 2024-12-08

Wilson caught seven of 10 targets for 114 yards in Sunday's 32-26 overtime loss to the Dolphins.

Wilson beat Jalen Ramsey for a 35-yard catch on fourth down in the second quarter, and Isaiah Davis scored a 17-yard rushing touchdown on the very next play. The star wide receiver tacked on a 42-yard catch on the second play of the second half and ultimately finished with five more receiving yards than Davante Adams to lead the team. This was a welcome turnaround for Wilson, who had just 100 receiving yards over his previous three games combined. Wilson will have a nice opportunity to build on this performance in Week 15 against the beatable Jacksonville secondary.

Does little with 10 targets

RotoWire Logo Published: 2024-12-01

Wilson caught five of 10 targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Seahawks.

Wilson dusted the Seattle cornerback with a slant-and-go route in the second quarter, but Aaron Rodgers missed him wide open in the end zone, and Rodgers threw a pick-six on the very next play while Wilson was still left searching for his first catch of the game. The standout wide receiver finished the first half with just three yards but got involved coming out of the locker room with a 17-yard catch on the first play of the third quarter. Wilson ultimately finished second on the team in receiving yards, 25 behind Davante Adams, as Rodgers threw for only 185 yards. Up next for Wilson is a Week 14 road game against the stout Dolphins secondary.

Season-low 18 yards in loss

RotoWire Logo Published: 2024-11-17

Wilson caught four of eight targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Colts.

Wilson posted his lowest receiving yardage total of the season and has just 59 yards over his last two games combined after averaging 94.4 over the previous five games. Aaron Rodgers hasn't been nearly as much of an upgrade under center as the Jets anticipated, but Wilson has still benefited from the change. Heading into the Jets' Week 12 bye, Wilson has already set a career high with five receiving touchdowns, and he's on pace for 1,116 receiving yards this season, which would narrowly set a new personal best for the third-year wideout.

Leading receiver in blowout loss

RotoWire Logo Published: 2024-11-10

Wilson brought in five of six targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 31-6 loss to Arizona.

Davante Adams (6-31-0) led the Jets with 13 targets Sunday, but Wilson finished with the most receiving yards for New York on a far more efficient stat line. Both star wideouts suffered from poor play under center by Aaron Rodgers, resulting in mediocre fantasy outputs for the entire receiving corps. Wilson is an elite talent who can only produce as well as his quarterback gets him the ball. Managers of the wideout are hoping the Jets' offense wakes back up against the Colts next Sunday.

Pair of TD grabs in win

RotoWire Logo Published: 2024-10-31

Wilson secured nine of 10 targets for 90 yards and two touchdowns in the Jets' 21-13 win over the Texans on Thursday night.

Wilson paced the Jets in receptions and was just a yard and target short of tying Davante Adams for the team lead in those categories as well. The third-year pro also made what is arguably the catch of the season thus far, snaring an Aaron Rodgers floater one-handed in the back of the end zone and somehow getting both feet inbounds for a 26-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter that had to be affirmed via replay. Wilson benefitted from Adams' exit for a time during the second half due to a concussion check, but he's now logged at least eight targets in seven consecutive games and at least Thursday's 90 receiving yards in four of the last five contests as well.
