Hill's agent Drew Rosenhaus said Thursday that the wideout is still "committed to this Dolphin football team" despite his saying "I'm out" after Miami's loss to the Jets in Week 18, Eric Edholm of NFL.com reports.
Rosenhaus said Hill "had an excellent meeting with [general manager] Chris Grier and [head coach] Mike McDaniel," after he appeared to remove himself from the Dolphins' regular-season finale early, playing just 40 percent of offensive snaps. Across 17 regular-season games in 2024, Hill compiled just a 81-959-6 receiving line on 123 targets, his first time failing to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark since 2019. He remains under contract with Miami through the 2026 campaign, but after saying "it was great playing here but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career" following the team's loss to New York, it seems clear that Hill is open to, if not actively looking for, a change of scenery. Rosenhaus' comments may simply be an effort to make a potential offseason trade more achievable for the Dolphins.

Hill (wrist/illness) caught two of three targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 32-30 loss to the Jets.
Hill finished the regular season on a sour note after Week 18's dismal output had the star receiver falling just short of the 1,000-yard mark in receiving yards for the first time since an injury-shortened 2019 season. The 30-year-old was truly questionable heading into this game after nursing both an elbow injury and an illness while missing all of the team's practices leading up to Sunday's defeat. After the game, Hill had delivered melancholy news when regarding his future in Miami, stating "I'm out, bruh. It was great playing here but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career." according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. It's an interesting statement from the perennial All-Pro considering that his current contract runs through the 2026 season. That being said, the Dolphins could use the talented Hill as a big trade piece this offseason if the front office decides to honor the receiver's post-game wishes.

With his active status confirmed for Miami's must-win regular-season finale, Hill will have a chance to maintain the chemistry that he built with QB Tyler Huntley (who is starting once again in place of Tua Tagovailoa/hip) during the team's Week 17 win over the Browns, when he caught all nine of his targets for 105 yards.

Hill has been no stranger to the injury report in the second half of the season, though it's a bit worrisome that he was unable to practice at all just one day after being a full participant Thursday. The star wide receiver will do all he can to play Sunday, since the Dolphins can make the playoffs with a win and a Denver loss to Kansas City. Tua Tagovailoa (hip) is doubtful, but Hill showed good chemistry with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley in the Week 17 win over the Browns, as they connected for nine catches and 105 yards.

The speed demon used his sure hands to nick and cut the opposition to a strong fantasy line on his most-efficient showing to date in 2024. With his wrist issue in the rear-view mirror, Hill will be geared up for a crucial regular-season finale against the Jets next Sunday as Miami fights for its playoff life.

The wrist issue is a lingering injury for Hill, but he's yet to miss a game because of it, and it appears the star wideout will be on the field for Miami again Sunday. However, his outlook is hazy in part due to the expected absence of Tua Tagovailoa, who is officially doubtful to play due to a hip issue. Rapoport notes that No. 2 wideout Jaylen Waddle (knee) isn't likely to suit up either, which could lead to the Browns focusing more of their attention on Hill. If things go the way they seem to be trending, the Dolphins' passing attack Sunday will consist of Tyler Huntley at quarterback, with Hill and Malik Washington leading the team's wideout corps and tight end Jonnu Smith playing a significant role as well.
